Updates

Happy Spring everyone.  Those of us in NY are very happy to see some warmer temperatures after a brutal winter.  I hope all of you fared well.

Please keep Pat Foskett Thomas in your prayers.  Her son Peter passed away suddenly in December. 
If anyone needs her address, just contact me.

As we move toward Summer, many of you are returning to Long Island after "wintering" in warmer climates. 

If any of you get together , send pictures and I will be happy to post them.

Dolores Mueller, Kathy McMahon, Tish Maher, and I got together in the Fall .  Clare Cooney was supposed to join us, but had to cancel.  We met at the Cooperage, and never ran out of topics of conversation!  I have a picture, when I locate it, I'll post it!

Would love to plan something before the busy ness of Summer fills our calendars.  If anyone is interested, let me know!

I did meet with Sandy Foley and Barbara Moran in Sag Harbor .  Sandy was here from KY visiting her bro in Montauk.  It was great to see both of them.

Jane Beckert Gould~Obituary

I am very sad to tell you Jane passed away on Sept. 7th.

 Please keep her in your prayers, as well as her husband, Gary. Her service is tomorrow is Lecanto, FL in case any of you are near by.
I know you all have her address, she was so kind to put together that directory a year ago for us.
May she rest in peace.

Jane called to tell me she is undergoing treatment for cancer in her brain.  She is having radiation to shrink the tumor.  She is unable to answer emails, and is having trouble walking.
Please keep our classmate in your prayers.
I know she would love to get a note from you!

Summer Greetings!

Hello, Ladies, hope your summer is going well!

Most of you have received your invite to the all year reunion at QRA by now.  If not, you can contact Dominican Village at 631 842 6618 if you are interested.

Yesterday I had a lovely lunch with Pat Foskett and Barbara Moran.  Pat lives in RI, so every summer she takes the ferry from New London and I pick her up in Orient.  We have been doing this since the 1990's.  This year, Barbara Moran met us in Greenport for lunch.  There was never a dull moment, so much to talk about!  We ate at Blue Canoe by the ferry terminal.

Barbara told us she had contacted Ellen Roulette and they got together this winter in FL.  No picture though.  :(

Be sure to email me any pictures of get togethers you have.

Sandy Foley hopes to get to LI this summer , when I get a definite date I will let you know.  Some of you who live out here might want to meet.

Hello Ladies, Happy Spring!

Dolores Mueller , Tish Maher, Jane Beckert and Judy Neville met up recently in FL.
I don't know if the pic they sent will be visible.

 

The report was they had a great time!  Dolores and Tish were scheduled to down some Green Beer at The Villages for St. Patrick's Day!  I hope they behaved themselves!  :)

Jane also had lunch with Kathy Gardner near Tampa recently.

Those of us in the Northeast are eagerly awaiting some Spring weather.

Meeting for Lunch

Hello Ladies,

Hope this finds you well!

A speedy recovery to Anne Granahan who broke her leg and is recouperating.

Yesterday, I met 4 of our classmates for lunch at The Cooperage in Baiting Hollow.

Clare Cooney and Dolores Mueller came out from Centerport and E. Npt., and Tish Maher came from Manorville.  We were so happy to have Barbara Petry join us, she recently moved to Riverhead and was not able to make the reunion, so we had to catch up on 50 years!

We had a lovely lunch and talked for 3 hours! We barely had time to eat, but we squeezed it in between words!  :)

 We ran out of talking time, so we are planning to meet again in early December.

We would love to have YOU join us!  Please let me know if you are interested, you have my email and phone number.  It will be somewhere in Suffolk County, place to be determined.

Everyone there talked about how great it was to renew friendships at the reunion, so let's keep it going.

A week later...

Hello Ladies,

Hope everyone who had to travel got back home safely.

Sandy Foley, Pat Foskett  and Jane Beckert stayed here in Southampton, and we had a great time Sat. night talking about everyone.  Were your ears ringing?  :)

Sunday, Pat departed early to catch  the ferries to CT, then drive  back to Rhode Island, and the rest of us went to Brunch in town and did a little sightseeing along the Estate Section where the mansions are, and a stop at the Ocean.  Then Sandy and Jane went out to Montauk to stay with Sandy's brother for a visit.  Everyone is home and safe.

Dolores Carson and Lorraine Dethlefsen sent pictures, and it is not too late to add yours.  Just email them to me.

Some of us plan to meet for lunch by the end of the month.  Everyone is welcome, so if you are interested, let me know!

Wasn't It Lovely? How could it be 50 years?

I hope everyone had a good time yesterday, I enjoyed it thoroughly!

It was wonderful to see you after 50 years, and I hope we won't wait another 50 to do it again!  :)

Thanks so much to Candy for making the pennants and modeling her uniform, to Marilyn Abramoske for the Memorial board, and Dolores Mueller for the name tags.  Ginny Cook helped Dolores put them together.
